I need to write reports and everyone else is sick. Hopefully I will get some done later today.

Saana's bucket is empty again. She is back to constantly needing my full attention and rubbing her head all over my body.
Maddie got to eat toast this morning.
Glad to hear that Obama won the election in the US.
Busy day today. I will spend the afternoon running Saana around to swimming and appointments, hope she can hold herself together.
Going to try and make an insurance claim on the camera that is broken.
Have a lovely day.

Wednesday
I am about to start reading "Pippi Longstocking" to Saana. I'm hoping she will get something from the strong female character and it should be fun.
Reports need to be done this week. Today I need to make a list of what I need to bring home to write reports.
Still have sickness in the house.
Lovely rainy weather today, might make errands difficult, but still lovely for the garden.
Taking a half day off work today to take Saana to speech, and will pick up her preschool papers as well.
Started late today, so that will do.
Have a good day everyone.

Colour Mixing Bottle
After seeing this activity on my pinterest page my daughter and I decided to make a colour mixing bottle.
We decided to make yellow and red bottle to make orange.
First we half filled in the bottle with yellow oil.
Then we made a mix of red water using edicol dye. (This was a slight mistake, I made the red colouring much to strong.)
Then I got my daughter to use a pipette dropper to put the red water into the bottle.
We watched the red water fall through the oil. This was an interesting activity in itself.
I got my daughter to use the pipette because we have been trying to build her finger muscle strength and stamina to help with her writing. THe photos below show this step.
When we had put the red water in, we then sealed the bottle.
It was time to shake and make orange. Except this didn't work, the red colouring was much to strong and we ended up with a pale red, rather than orange.
While this activity didn't go just as I planned, both my daughter and I enjoyed the process and we still have the bottle to share our science experiment with visitors.

Sharing a book
My mum has a photo of me lying on the floor reading a book which was publish in something (I'm not quite sure what), she asked if I could get a similar photo of the girls. This was the best of series of photos I took. My good camera has died and I took this with hubbies cheap point and shoot, so not as good as I would like, but it makes me smile.
